To nourish your hair Zeeplokaal has added Maca root. Maca contains, among other things, iron, vitamin B, and vitamin C. The essential grapefruit oil can help reduce dandruff and bring an oily scalp back into balance. Keep in mind that a hair soap is completely natural and it may take a few washes before you see progress. We've added rich oils like castor oil, sweet almond oil and shea butter to moisturize your hair.

Because of the Maca root, the hair soap has an earthy scent. While using the soap, the sweet undertone, together with the grapefruit scent, comes out more, which gives a relaxed feeling.

This hair soap is in principle suitable for every hair type and extra fine when your hair quickly becomes greasy. If you have never tried a hair soap with these ingredients, or have used a hair soap at all, it can take a while before your hair is used to a natural hair soap.

REGULAR SHAMPOO VS. NATURAL SHAMPOO

If you used to wash your hair with regular shampoo in the past, you may not be immediately satisfied with the natural alternative after the first wash. This is because your hair has become accustomed to silicones that are present in regular shampoos. Silicones put a layer over your hair, making it feel smooth and shiny, but at the same time, it closes your hair and has no chance to breathe. Natural hair soap washes this silicone from your hair and before it has completely disappeared your hair can feel greasy. Therefore, give your hair and scalp a chance to “kick-off” from regular shampoo for two weeks and ensure that it can regain its natural function. After this, your hair will look healthy, full and radiant! If you are still not convinced after two weeks, you can still use it as body soap because it contains many delicious and nourishing ingredients for the skin.

A great way to help you along is making your own ACV Hair Rinse, which gently cleanses the scalp and conditions your hair. It removes build-up and impurities from the hair, increases softness and shine, and restores the natural pH balance of your scalp.

HOW TO USE

Wet your hair. Move the hair soap back and forth in different places on the scalp. Put the hair soap away (preferably outside the shower cubicle in soap holder). Massage the soap in. Left my hair quite waxy feeling and a bit oily. I don't have very dry hair at all so perhaps this isn't the right one for my hair, but i gave it to my friend and she seemed to like it! :)

Waxy Residue

This shampoo bar suds up nicely and quickly and leaves my hair looking clean. However, it also leaves a waxy residue, especially on the ends of my hair, leaving it extremely tangly and feeling gross. I have been using it for about two weeks, so maybe it will improve over time.
