LoofCo cleaning sponges are expertly hand-made in Egypt at the loofah factory. A 100% biodegradable alternative to plastic sponges. The Cleaning Pad fits neatly in the hand and when immersed in water it swells into a soft, spongy, and flexible pad.

Each pad is 10x10cm of layered loofah stitched together for extra scrubbing power to clean surfaces, chopping boards, baths, sinks, tiles, and taps.

HOW TO USE

Rinse well with water before first use. Use in warm water with detergent.
To keep the loofah fresh between use, squeeze out the excess water, shake out any dirty pieces and hang the pad to dry on the cotton loop. Wash occasionally in the washing machine or by hand to use more often.

MATERIALS

LOOFAH

The Loofah plant is a vigorously growing plant that is from the cucumber family and rich in sustainable fibers and yet soft and flexible. When the fruit is ripe, the inside of the loofah fruit develops a network of fibers that are perfect for cleaning and exfoliating when they are dried. These loofahs are harvested, peeled, seeds removed, and then dried, cut into lengths, and processed by hand in Egypt. This method of processing is a natural tradition that has been passed on through many generations

It was fine while it was new. But needed to be replaced too fast

Awesome product!

This is an awesome product to work with - scrubs well, cleans well, doesn't damage the surface, dries quickly because it can be hung. Make sure that you first rinse your dishes with water if there are any food bits and afterwards use the sponge.

Lovely sponge and soft

Effective at cleaning but a nightmare with food bits

I really wanted to like this, and maybe it's just a matter of preference, but after one use, I knew it wasn't for me. I went to wipe down a plate that had some bits of chopped cilantro on it and every little piece got wedged into the layer of the loofah. It is an effective sponge, but it's too hight maintenance for me. After I rinsed it, and picked out all the pieces with tweezers I'm going to give it a wash and just use it in my shower!
