Made from olive oil and laurel berry oil harvested in Syria, it is cooked in a cauldron according to the traditional manufacturing process, in its town of origin in Aleppo.
Alep soap originally comes from the city of Aleppo in Syria. The soap is 100% natural and is made from olive oil, to which laurel oil is added. The soap can boast centuries of tradition. The production process has never changed: the olive oil (75.48%) is poured into a kettle heated by charcoal. Then natural soda is added. The ingredients mix into a paste after a long cooking time. The laurel oil is then added. The color green is caused by a substance in the olive oil. Over time and under the influence of daylight, this color slowly disappears and the soap becomes lighter in color. The soap is dried in the open air for 9 months, cut, and stamped by hand.
HOW TO USE
Aleppo soap is a greasy soap that cleans mildly. The soap maintains the moisture balance of the skin and protects the skin against weather influences. It is especially recommended for acne, eczema, psoriasis, and dry or sensitive skin. The laurel oil in the soap has a disinfectant effect. The soap is also suitable for babies.
